Image License
The photographs of real hardware in this museum were taken by us, of machines we own and have repaired with our own hands. We would rather they travel than sit still. So we give them away.
What you may do
Our own hardware photographs are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. You may copy, reuse, edit, and republish them anywhere — on a blog, in a video, on Wikipedia, in a book, for commercial projects — for free. No permission email needed. No fee.
The one condition — credit
Give credit where the photograph came from, and link back to the museum. That is the whole ask. It keeps the trail honest and helps the next person find the collection.

This license applies only to our own photographs of real hardware. It does not cover the AI-generated illustrations and artwork used across the museum — those are stylised pieces, not documentary photographs, and are not offered under CC BY 4.0. Game titles, logos, and trademarks shown within a photograph remain the property of their respective owners; the license covers our photograph, not the brands depicted in it.
A note, museum to reader
We open these images the same way we open the doors: freely, and in the hope that the story keeps moving. If they help you make something, that is exactly what they are for. Carry them well.
