The Story Behind
Stellar 7: Draxon's Revenge (1993) is both a sequel and remake to the 1990 game, itself a revival of the 1983 original created by Damon Slye for the Apple II and Commodore 64. Slye designed the original Stellar 7 after being inspired by the arcade game Battlezone, and he coded the 3Space engine to build it. In 1984, he co-founded Dynamix with Jeff Tunnell in Eugene, Oregon. The 3DO version showcased the platform's capabilities with polygon models, CG cinematics, and CD-quality audio narrated by Michael Dorn (Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation).
